29 June 2003
It's been a very hot weekend. Mummy, Papa and I were invited by some friends to their home for lunch today. They live outside Paris, so we had to take the train. I have a buggy borrowed from a friend, which made the voyage quite comfortable. It wasn't so much fun for Papa, who had to lift the buggy over the railings at the railway station.
It was a very hot day, and very sunny when we arrived. I met Luella, her husband Yves, and their daughter Mercedes, who is one year older than me. It's better at their place than in Paris, as the air is much cleaner, so we got to sit al fresco. I love their garden!
Unfortunately, I'm too young to crawl around. Anyway, I have to watch myself because the sun can do an awful lot of damage my tender skin. Whilst Papa was sunning himself in the garden, I snoozed away under the shade.
